  2. Er… your manual notes this:

“Android Phones: (Android Phones must be Bluetooth Version 4.0 Enabled to
    work with VTag.)

Download the VTrump App found at the Apple iTunes App Store. (Do not
use the Apple BlueSmart App with Android)”

Android… Apple iTunes App Store?! Something doesn’t quite seem right here 😉

This April 2014 the Blue Smart App is to handle all Androids. The reason the Androids have trouble with Blue Smart App is to do with Bluetooth needs to be 4+ and not just 4.0, as earlier thought. All should be working well for everyone in April which is right around the corner!

are you going to make it available to high-end adroid devices? Samsung Note 3?

The new Blue Smart App will handle the Androids. Not sure at this time about the Samsung Note 3, but if it has Bluetooth 4+ it should!

Any update on the Android App?

I note that some of the other bluetooth le trackers have given up on versions of Android before 4.4.

If you have 4.4 working, release that.

My Android phone (xperia Z1s) detects the VTag, but I cannot pair it because it wants the PIN. I tried 0000 and 1234, but neither worked.

Answer: I am sorry the app is asking for your pin, because I don’t know what the correct pin is for android or any pin for that matter. However, the Blue Smart App is coming out with a newer version this April and it is to solve all the Android issues. If you can hang on until then, the Blue Smart App will tell you a new version is available and you’ll want to update and then see if this resolves the pin issue.

How do I stop the device from sounding an alarm when I am not near it? It has become very annoying to the people I work with.

      Hello Matt,

Press both buttons on the VTag at the same time and wait to hear the sound. That turns off alarms!

When you wish to turn the alarms back on simply press both buttons on the VTag again and wait for the sound. Now, you are armed for alarms and sounds once again!

Hold both sides of the buttons on the VTag at the same time. This is a temp shut off of all alarms. When you want to activate it again, push both buttons at the same time, again. That’s it!
